Wills and Estate Planning

Schweizer Kobras has extensive experience in all aspects of wills and estate planning. We assist our clients in structuring their affairs and preparing documentation to protect their assets from the claims of creditors and predators after their death, and to ensure that their estates ultimately benefit the intended recipients.

Where required, we prepare simple or complex wills with testamentary trusts, and advise on structures to effectively deal with superannuation entitlements, jointly owned property and other non-estate assets.

Schweizer Kobras also advises clients with assets in Australia and elsewhere in the world, mostly in Germany, Switzerland or Austria, about estate planning and testamentary matters, with particular regard to the differing inheritance and taxation laws affecting estates in those countries.

In our wills and estate planning practice, we typically prepare or review:

  • Wills
  • Mutual Will Agreements
  • Personal and Corporate Powers of Attorney
  • Discretionary and Family Trust Deeds
  • Unit Trust Deeds
  • Shareholder Agreements
  • Business Succession Agreements
